Kari Lehr Press Print – Grey Wolf

“The largest members of the canine family, grey wolves (or timber wolves) are highly social animals, living in packs which typically consist of an alpha male and female (who often mate for life), and their pups, including several juvenile wolves. The grey wolf, who has been cast as the villain of fairy tales for centuries, is also perceived in some cultures as the embodiment of a deeply spiritual being. To hear the haunting sound of a wolf’s howl, or to catch a glimpse of this shy, elusive animal in the wild, is a privilege indeed.”

Kari Lehr lives and paints in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass, Canada. A graduate of the Alberta Collage of Art and Design, her work explores themes relating to womanhood as well as our connection to the natural world and each other.
